Each year, Horizon Academy hosts its most anticipated fundraiser — A Novel Night — a celebration of literature, imagination, and student potential. This evening centers around a beloved work of fiction, chosen for its thematic connection to our mission and students. In 2026, we invite guests to embark on a hero’s journey, inspired by the world of Percy Jackson. 

Guests will be invited into a world of ancient myths and modern triumphs — with storytelling, immersive décor, and mission-centered programming that showcases the real heroes in our community. Rooted in Greek mythology, Percy’s story is more than an epic quest — it mirrors the real-life challenges and triumphs of our students, many of whom, like Percy, have dyslexia and ADHD. His journey of self-discovery and resilience is a powerful reflection of theirs. 

Your participation and donations help open doors — not just to a classroom, but to a future full of confidence, literacy, and lifelong learning. Proceeds from A Novel Night support need-based financial aid for our Academic Year Program. With over 40% of our students receiving assistance, your  ensures access to the specialized instruction that changes lives.
